About This Point of Interest

Historic Seattle Waterfront

Originally developed as industrial businesses including a sawmill and an important port for international & domestic trade, the older areas of Seattle’s waterfront have gone through a remarkable rehabilitation. The revitalized piers now host restaurants, shops, cultural attractions such as the Seattle Great Wheel and the Seattle Aquarium. The waterfront is continuing its evolution by adding a 20-acre park while restoring the local environment.
